Mediacorp clinches two Silvers at Cannes Corporate Media & TV Awards

SINGAPORE: At the 14th edition of the prestigious Cannes Corporate Media & amp, TV Awards, announced at an awards presentation ceremony in Cannes, France, Mediacorp won two coveted Silver dolphin trophies.

These were for the CNA documentaries The Exiles: My Stolen Chinese Father in the” History and Personalities/ Portraits” and” Human Concerns and Social Issues in India’s C-Section Epidemic.”

The Exiles: My Stolen Chinese Father is the first episode in a two-part historical documentary series that explores the untold tales of love and loss experienced during an era of racial deportations from post-war UK and Australia. It was recently recognized at the ContentAsia Awards 2023 for being the” Best Factual Programme Made in Asia for Multiple Asian and / or International Market.”

It tells the tale of how lots of Chinese sailors who had served with the Allies in World War II suddenly disappeared from their Liverpool homes and families.

The following episode of CNA’s award-winning exploratory series Undercover Asia, which exposes the unexpected fallout of change in the fast-moving continent, is titled A Million Cuts: India – Section Epidemic. This series reveals the hard truths hidden beneath the surface of Asia.

The Blue Petal Films-produced episode focuses on the contentious topic of caesarean sections, or C-sections, in India.

The C-section rate in India’s private hospitals is a whopping 47.4 %, which is much higher than the 15 % threshold recommended by the World Health Organization. This study investigates why millions of mothers are needlessly having their operations.

” We are thrilled that the Cannes Corporate Media & amp, TV Awards have once again recognized CNA’s content.” These victories are a significant accomplishment for all of our production partners and colleagues who worked on the two documentaries, and they highlight our abilities to tell true, compelling stories from distinctly Asian perspectives, according to Mediacorp CEO Tham Loke Kheng, who made this announcement on Wednesday( Oct 4 ).

” My sincere praise on your outstanding accomplishments!”
