Ikano Insight appoints ST Chua as regional business director, SEA Ikano Insight, area of the Ikano Group possessed by IKEA’s Kamprad family has announced the appointment of ST Chua (pic) as the Regional Business Director SEA, located in their Kuala Lumpur regional head office.

Ikano Understanding specialises in advanced retail and durability analytics, supporting companies such as IKEA for more than 10 years. Working across Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Philippines, Ikano Insight harnesses data, technology and innovative analytics to deliver workable insights to businesses.

The particular firm describes Chua as bringing just the right digital transformation experience to this role, with his background as a corporate venture specialist.

Before Petronas, he was instrumental in the setting up of Sunway’s corporate investment capital arms, Sunway Endeavors and Sun SEA Capital.

Chua possesses plenty of business development experience having created a multi-million-dollar global e-commerce business, and is co-founder of multiple ventures, including FMCG distribution, a predictive analytics company along with a financial-tech startup called perfectsen which had Maybank as a long-term client. He loves mentoring startups and frequently speaks at technology related events. This individual holds an MBA from INSEAD, Italy obtained in 2010.

Ikano Understanding, head-quartered in London will be rapidly expanding their capability in the OCEAN region, having lately assisted with the release of the world’s largest IKEA store in Pasay City, Philippines.
