Endeavor Malaysia launches Cohort 3 of ScaleUp Program, aiming to support high potential disruptive businesses

The Malaysian chapter of Endeavor, the leading global community of, by, and for High-Impact Entrepreneurs, has announced the launch of its third ‘ScaleUp Program’- a four months, non-dilutive program that selects and supports exceptional, high-potential entrepreneurs in scaling disruptive businesses.

In this program, startups will be assessed based on Endeavor’s main criteria – entrepreneur, business and timing. Only a selected number of startups will advance to the four months program where entrepreneurs get to accelerate their scaling journey via our mentors who are world-class CEOs and business leaders, high-impact entrepreneurs and partners ranging from top investors, global MNCs and some of the most notable tech startups in the region.

They will also gain valuable market insights and have access to a dedicated account manager to facilitate and curate a customised experience throughout the program.

In line with Endeavor’s model of paying it forward for the next generation of entrepreneurs, the ScaleUp Endeavor program is supported by an Advisory Board comprised of outstanding, high calibre individuals, such as Endeavor mentors Rafiq Razali (Group Managing Director of Media Prima), Tunku Alina (Chair of JA Russell & Co Sdn Bhd whose subsidiary is Boh Plantations Sdn Bhd), Joel Neoh (Founder & CEO at Fave) and Rachel Lau (Managing Partner at RHL Ventures).

“In Malaysia, there is an urgent need to grow and develop a robust and vibrant entrepreneurship ecosystem, especially now when businesses are constantly challenged with so many uncertainties in the market. As an entrepreneur and also an investor, I believe that providing support to these startups is a requisite as startups help spur the economy. As we aim to select high-potential entrepreneurs this year, we aim to customise every entrepreneur’s scaling journey by providing them access to learn from like-minded peers and be inspired by the best.” commented Joel.

The entire ScaleUp Program this year is curated by the Endeavor Malaysia team based on learnings from the previous cohorts and feedback from our network; the interaction with existing Endeavor Entrepreneurs over the years and guidance from the Advisory Board.

“As an entrepreneur-first organisation, we are constantly pruning our program according to the needs of the scaling entrepreneur in Malaysia. This year’s program is unique in that it focuses on a more entrepreneur-specific methodology. With the valuable advice from our mentors that have supported over 40 founders in scaling their startups; which includes CapBay, HealthMetrics, TRAPO, Dropee and Naluri from previous cohorts, we hope the third cohort for our scale-up program will continue to create significant impact for our ecosystem,” said Adlin Yusman, Managing Director of Endeavor Malaysia.

Adlin adds that Endeavor Malaysia intends to make this cohort more intimate, with its inaugural introduction of Set To Scale panel, which provides entrepreneurs with an in-depth review session from industry experts to help accelerate their scaling journey and to potentially be a part of Endeavor’s global network.

For this program, Endeavor is looking for entrepreneurs who dream big and are looking to scale their businesses quickly. These entrepreneurs should be leading scalable and innovative Malaysian-based businesses with more than US$486,000 (RM2 million) in revenues and demonstrate at least an average of 30% YoY revenue growth.
