The party is also growing its presence on social media with a new TikTok channel and podcasting on Spotify. WP launched its HammerTok account on TikTok last week (Aug 5).
Miss Seah said that WP has a young base of volunteers and want to use such channels to engage in voter education as well as connect some of the party’s activities “behind the scenes”.
The celebration is also restarting actual physical outreach with townhalls in Sengkang GRC moving from digital to face-to-face, and resuming sales from the Hammer newsletter, mentioned Sengkang MP and town council chair Louis Chua.
“We really concentrate on ground outreach — to reach out to our residents physically face-to-face to understand some of the problems and issues… but at the same time, we also recognise that it’s vital that you expand on all of the various communication channels and media on the market, especially those which might be particularly relevant to our own younger residents. ”
But some facets of the party’s outreach have not changed considerably, said Mr Singh.
“It’s still important for us for connecting with the public plus understand in certain nearby areas what are the problems that are important to inhabitants and business workers there, ” he said.
“I think really the issue is the quality of the engagement… We of course want to understand the surface better… and in that regard, nothing actually has changed. ”
Responding to another reporter’s question, Mr Singh said that based on their own outreach, cost of living problems have come up often among both more youthful and older occupants.
“That’s an extremely pressing issue… I believe those are problems that we’ve already put to the Government and I will continue watching this particular very closely. inch
