SINGAPORE: A refrigerant gasoline leak from the air conditioning system forced passengers to disembark at City Hall place on Thursday( Sep 7 ) after white dust engulfed an MRT station.
White dust was seen coming from a station at the northbound system of the station at around 9.50 p.m. According to a customer, dust was spreading to other cabins from the train’s back, according to CNA.
The train stopped at City Hall place for about five days before departing, according to the customer, who did not want to be identified. The following coach arrived in three to four minutes, she continued.
Staff did not receive any reports of travellers who required clinical interest, according to SMRT Trains leader Lam Sheau Kai in response to CNA’s questions. After the event, he continued, the coach service resumed normal operations.
According to Mr. Lam, the coach is a first-generation model that has been in operation since 1987. It is no longer in use.
” We apologize for interfering with your trip ,” Mr. Lam said.
