US House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is keeping a media briefing in Tokyo upon Friday (Aug 5), her first since the joint press meeting with Taiwan Chief executive Tsai Ing-wen two days ago.
Tokyo is the last stop of Pelosi’s tour of the Asia-Pacific. This media briefing comes just hrs after Japan lodged a protest with China over missiles landing in Japan’s exclusive economic area. China is conducting huge live-fire exercises close to Taiwan, in response to Pelosi’s controversial trip.
