She added the company aims to achieve the United Nations 2030 sustainable growth goals targets, among which is clean drinking water and sanitation.

“Our water high quality is still not good. It is about 54. twenty five (on the water quality index), so it is typical. ”

Within Indonesia, water high quality is assessed based on certain criteria such as the amount of dissolved o2 and faecal coliform in water as directed by a ministerial regulation.

The score of between 0 to fifty means that the water quality ranges from really deficient to deficient. If the score will be between 51 to 100, it means how the water quality is usually moderate to excellent.

Nirwana observed that this also affects the province’s score on the overall environment index, which presently is around 71, from a maximum rating of 100.  

The overall environmental index comprises water quality index, seawater quality index, peat ecosystem quality catalog, air quality index, plus land quality catalog.
