The White House announced on Tuesday ( January 7 ) that US Vice President Kamala Harris would travel to Europe, the Middle East, and Asia from January 13 through January 17.
The journey, which will likely be Harris ‘ previous as vice chairman before leaving department on Jan 20, does have stops in Singapore, Bahrain, and Germany, according to the White House. She may be accompanied by her husband, Doug Emhoff.
Harris will match with officials and travel to Changi Naval Base while in Singapore on January 15. According to the White House, Harris did visit Changi Naval Center.
The following morning, she may meet with officials in Manama, Bahrain, and explore Naval Support Activity–Bahrain, the office of US Naval Forces Central Command and the US 5th Fleet, it added.
On Jan 17, Harris will be in Spangdahlem, Germany, to explore the US Air Force 52nd Fighter Wing at Spangdahlem Air Base, according to the White House.
The vice president may speak with the vice president about the achievements of the Biden-Harris Administration in each place over the course of her travels, the partnership between the two countries, the efforts of US defense troops to regional and global security, and the United States ‘ long-standing national security interests, according to the White House.
Harris may talk with US service members while on the trip, the statement continued.
