US takes action against Chinese companies, people tied to fentanyl

As the Biden administration seeks to combat the prostitution of the lethal drug fentanyl, the United States announced steps against Chinese businesses and individuals on Tuesday( Oct 3) by releasing charges and enforcing sanctions on a number of goals.

” On behalf of the American government, we are here now to give a message.” According to US Attorney General Merrick Garland,” we know who is to blame for fentanyl poisoning the American people.”

We are aware that this world morphine supply chain, which culminates in the deaths of Americans, frequently begins with Chinese chemical companies.

In a statement, the U.S. Treasury Department stated that it had imposed restrictions on 28 individuals and organizations connected to the global trade in illegal drugs, including an extensive community based in China.

The action is the most recent instance of Taiwanese targets being sanctioned by Washington in a fentanyl-related motion as the Biden administration works to stop the drug’s imports.

Eight charges accusing China-based businesses and their staff of crimes involving the production of fentanyl and methamphetamine, the supply of synthetic drugs, and the sale of precursor chemicals were also released by the Justice Department.

A request for comment was not instantly answered by China’s embassy in Washington.

The community, according to the Treasury, is in charge of producing and dispersing fentanyl, meth, and MDMA precursors.

It claimed that the system is able to synthesize fentanyl, methamphetamine, MDMA precursors, and other illegal chemicals in quantities of up to 1,000 kilograms.

Pesticides known as fentanyl precursors are used to create the potent synthetic opioid that has recently caused an increase in drug overdose deaths in the US.

Two organizations and one man based in Canada were also subject to sanctions.

The sanctions action on Tuesday freezes any US property belonging to those who are being targeted and frequently prevents Americans from dealing with them.
