On Thursday ( Nov. 21 ), an unexploded World War II bomb was taken from Keppel Club.
The authorities said they were alerted to a feared war remnant at 239 Sime Road ,- the target of Keppel Club- at about 9.15am.
They identified the weapon as an old WWII bomb and collaborated with the SAF’s Explosive Ordnance Disposal unit.
” SAF moved it aside to be used for removal because it was determined to be safe for handling. No threat was posed to the public”, said the policeman.
An old WWII combat relic was taken from a development site in Ang Mo Kio, where the upcoming Teck Ghee MRT place will be constructed, in June.  ,
Last September, a , 100kg WWII flying weapon was also discovered at the construction page of a property near Cashew MRT place. As a result, thousands of people who lived and worked in pieces of Upper Bukit Timah stayed put for days while the relic was detonated.
In 2019 while conducting excavations at a building site, a 50 kg flying weapon was discovered at Jiak Kim Street in River Valley.  ,
Experts claimed that the presence of old war relics in various areas of Singapore was “highly inaccurate” when they were the subject of bombing during World War II.
