Ukraine’s Zelenskyy to speak in person at Singapore’s Shangri-La Dialogue on Sunday

On Sunday ( Jun 2 ), the Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will address the Singaporean Security Conference.

The International Institute for Strategic Studies ( IISS), the organisers of Asia’s most important defense summit, announced on Saturday that Mr. Zelenskyy would speak at the seventh plenary session of the Shangri-La Dialogue, titled” Re-Imagining Solutions for Global Peace and Regional Stability.” &nbsp,

IISS likewise confirmed to CNA on Saturday that Mr. Zelenskyy will be there in person as he tries to win more support for Kyiv as a Soviet offensive gains momentum. News earlier reported he would be in Singapore, citing some unexplained options.

The program will begin at 11 a.m., Singapore time, and will be available for streaming on IISS’s site and YouTube channel.

One of the major topics to be discussed at this year’s speech is likely to be security support for Ukraine. &nbsp, US Defence Secretary Lloyd Austin and the Taiwanese defence secretary, Dong Jun&nbsp, are also at the conference.

The Shangri- La Dialogue, held yearly in Singapore by IISS, started on Friday and begins on Sunday.
