The Thai agricultural plus food industries are ripe for development into the United Arabic Emirates market, states Thai Ambassador in order to UAE Warawut Phuapinya.
During a recent radio program, Mr Warawut discussed trade and investment decision opportunities for Thai investors in the UAE.
This individual said the UAE is largely an dry land with huge sand deserts, which makes it hard to grow enough crops for domestic consumption.
A freshwater lack is the biggest issue for farming in UAE. He mentioned they had to desalinate sea water to get plants which can damage crop yields.
The UAE government has joined with other countries to help them grow crops. However , the produce are not enough for local consumption and the price of farming remains higher due to the process of desalination.
“So we see that as well as agricultural produce might be suitable for Thai businesses to expand their own business to UAE.
”We have abundant drinking water resources and we may grow food in most season. We can rely on food exports and this is our nation’s advantage, ” this individual said.
Mr Warawut stated the new UAE chief executive had announced a policy to support food and agricultural investment in far eastern countries, while a part of the country’s regal family had also indicated there was scope for agricultural and clean energy purchase in Thailand.
Both cited the strong zwei staaten betreffend ties between the 2 nations as reasons behind making the empire the first country in the area to be invited to participate.
“Doing business in UAE is very even because they have obvious regulations driving their very own economy, ” he said.
“Furthermore, they are an extremely large market with high purchasing strength and rarely have any conditions that bar trade. Every Thailand needs to perform is adjust itself to the market, ” he said.
