Typhoon Yagi floods displace more than 235,000 in Myanmar: Junta

More than 235, 000 people have been displaced and at least 33 have died as a result of flooding in Myanmar as a result of Typhoon Yagi, the junta reported on Friday ( Sep 13 ).

” There are 236, 649 citizens from 59, 413 homeowners who were displaced because of storms storms… According to a coup spokesman Zaw Min Tun, there were 33 fatalities and one injury in the entire nation, according to an audio statement.

He urged those living close to creek banks to seek shelter somewhere and to remain diligent until Sunday and claimed that authorities had “lost communication with some areas.”

Earlier Friday, Myanmar’s fireplace support gave a higher death toll of 36.

According to the junta spokesman, authorities were looking into reports that dozens of migrant workers were missing after landslides in northern Mandalay region gold mine areas.

In the midst of Typhoon Yagi, which deposited a massive flood of rain in the region last weekend, people in parts of Vietnam, Laos, Thailand, and Myanmar have been dealing with floods and landslides.

More than 2.7 million people were now displaced in Myanmar as a result of the issue that the regime’s 2021 revolt had caused the country to become tumultuous.
