SINGAPORE: East-West Line rail services were disrupted in both directions on Thursday ( Oct 10 ) due to a train fault, said transport operator SMRT.
In a Facebook post posted at 12:31 p.m., SMRT stated that riders could anticipate an additional 25 hours of vacation time when traveling from Joo Koon MRT stations to Outram Park, Queenstown, and SMRT.
According to an upgrade at 12.55 p.m., riders should also anticipate 20 hours of extra travel time when traveling from Queenstown to Bugis MRT facilities in the direction of Pasir Ris MRT station.
It added that completely normal bus services were available between , Outram Park and Queenstown while also as , Queenstown and Bugis.
In a later release at 1.08 p.m., SMRT claimed that train solutions were “progressively being restored” and that the problem had been fixed.
It was once more stated that riders should anticipate a 20-minute delay between Queenstown and Bugis.
At 1.14pm, SMRT said the extra travel time had come down to 10 days, and at 1.22pm, it said that coach services from Queenstown to Bugis had resumed.
Additionally, it stated that the standard free bus services were no more offered.
A CNA blogger claimed that the coach problem happened on a train between Outram Park and Tiong Bahru at around 12:15 PM.
The passenger claims the coach stopped for 20 minutes before gently reversing in its direction toward Outram Park MRT place.
During this time, he felt that the coach was tilted.
At around 12.45pm, the train pulled in at Outram Park MRT place with the windows opening around 10 days later, he noted.
