Traffic controller dies in accident involving road roller at Joo Chiat; man arrested

A road roller was involved in a work-related incident in Joo Chiat on Monday ( Mar 3 ) that resulted in the death of a traffic controller in Singapore. &nbsp,

The officers and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) responded to CNA’s questions on Tuesday by saying they were called to the injury at 175 Carpmael Road on Monday around 4pm.

An SCDF medic declared the 66-year-old gentleman dead at the scene.

A 39-year-old man street roller operator was detained, according to police, for causing death by careless conduct.

Investigations are ongoing.
