
The Ministry of Education ( MOE ) announced on May 14 that two primary schools will relocate in Singapore in 2029 to meet the growing demand for seats in East Canberra and Tampines North.
From Ang Mo Kio Avenue 10 to the intersection of Canberra Walk and Canberra Crescent in Sembawang, Townsville Primary School did walk.
Damai Primary School will move to Tampines Street 64, which will be directly opposite the approaching Cross Island Line train for the future Tampines North MRT.  ,
Between 2025 and 2027, neither school may have Primary 1 subscription. Through the registration process for the first batch of Primary 1 individuals at their new schools in 2028, they did say the first shipment of Primary 1 kids.
All inbound Primary 1 children who live close to Townsville and Damai’s existing locations will have enough sites in Ang Mo Kio and Bedok, according to MOE.
Their existing colleges at , Ang Mo Kio, and Bedok will continue operating until 2030, allowing kids to finish their studies at their present areas, to reduce upheaval for existing learners in both schools.
In 2029 and 2030, both schools may operate from two schools.
The new Townsville Primary School campus is 14. 1 km from its current site, while the new Damai Primary School is about 5. 2 km away.
The new class will continue to be called Guangyang Primary School and merged with Townsville Primary School in 2023, the former having its name and location.
