- Enables for secured data transmission, consistent performance
- Ensures secured data transmission, uninterrupted connectivity
Time dotCom (Time) has announced its partnership with Alibaba Cloud, the digital technology and intelligence backbone of Alibaba Group.
In a statement, the telecommunications firm said through this collaboration, it can now provide a direct and dedicated connection to Alibaba Cloud Express Connect via its Time Cloud Interconnect Direct (TCID) service.
Alibaba Cloud said its Express Connect is a cloud-based solution that helps establish a fast, stable, secure and private direct network connectivity between Alibaba Cloud’s network and a customer’s data centre.
Time said its TCID connection to the Alibaba Cloud network ensures secured data transmission, stable and uninterrupted connectivity, and a minimised risk of data breaches.
Network deployment can also be accomplished in a matter of days owing to the TCID infrastructure – a Service Level Agreement of up to 99.9%, a 24x7x365 support and up to 10Gbps of customisable bandwidth for scalability, it added.
This will allow businesses to operate efficiently, save on costs and access the Alibaba Cloud network quickly and securely, Time said.
Kit Au, executive vice president of enterprise business of Time dotCom, said, “With TCID, enterprises can build on our MEF 3.0-certified metro ethernet line which allows direct access to the cloud and becomes the foundation of a multi-cloud ecosystem.”
According to a survey commissioned by Alibaba Cloud in 2021, 65% of businesses in Asia have already adopted at least one technology solution from an Asian provider.
In Malaysia alone, the public cloud market, which amounts to 3.63% of the total IT spending in the country, has already reached USD643.4 million (RM2.8 billion), Alibaba Cloud said
Apart from Alibaba Cloud, TCID currently supports Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, and AWS Direct Connectivity.
