Some people have particular needs, she said, such as a certain brand of damp cells or a certain number of cards slots and compartments in a specific color for fengshui reasons.

The most powerful tales, however, are the personal ones.

” Recently, a gentleman came to tweak a handbag for his family because they had just lost their precious husky”, she said.

The man, who was sobbing, told Addynna that the bag was intended to represent the relationship his wife and dog had, that it was a “parting gift” from their gruff, to show her not to mourn but to carry the great moments they shared wherever she goes, actually.

” She adored the color of the case, the outside of the bag, which was orange and green. The inside of the carrier incorporated the bright- and- dark colours of the animal’s coat, the day he was born, and the date he passed on”, Addynna added.

HER JOURNEY AS A LEATHER CRAFTSMAN

Tales like these are why the 38- yr- ancient leathercrafter gladly works 10- to 12- hr days.

” It is the relation I make with people. Often, during a one- hr consultation, they may share their entire life story”, she smiled.

But, most customers come for her unique goods, which Addynna sketches out after a discussion, creates a document belittle- up template and crafts to the customer’s specifications. This costs more than S$ 500.

A wine enthusiast asked her to create a large wine case with movable fitted leather divisions to meet four wine eyeglasses, a wine bottle, and a bottle. The price tag: Around S$ 2, 000.
