The Line restaurant at Shangri-La Hotel gets hygiene rating downgraded after food poisoning incident

SINGAPORE: After 10 people developed diarrhea signs in December 2022, The Line cafe at Shangri – La Hotel had its food housekeeping quality downgraded from A to C.

They had eaten there on December 26. Two of them were taken to the hospital.

No hygiene violations were found, according to the Singapore Food Agency( SFA ), when authorities inspected the restaurant on December 30.

SFA will, nonetheless, be pursuing legal action against the owner for selling dirty food, according to the organization.

The Line’s C health quality will be reviewed in a year and goes into effect on September 8, 2023.

SFA stated that” the facilities will also be kept under security.”

Food establishments are rated A, B, C, or D by the agency based on an & nbsp’s” annual snapshot assessment” of their performance in terms of food safety.
