Thailand has expressed interest in constructing a seventh bridge across the Mekong River connecting Laos and Thailand.
The possibility of constructing a new bridge connecting Ubon Ratchathani and Saravan territory in southeastern Laos was the subject of discussions, according to the Vientiane Times on Monday.
It would be the seventh bridge connecting the two nations,  , if the idea is turned into action by the two governments.
Mr. Maris traveled to Laos on May 30th, soon after Panpree Bahiddha-Nukara resigned in protest of the cabinet change that had forced him to step down as deputy prime minister, and he was appointed foreign minister soon after.
At Thai-Lao Joint Commission discussions in November 2021, a proposal for a new bridge connecting Ubon Ratchathani and Saravan was initially brought up. The Palang Pracharath Party led the coalition government next, and the Pheu Thai Party, which then leads the authorities, was on the opposition seats.
According to the Vientiane Times, the two foreign ministers agreed to carry out the contracts that the two neighbors had already made.
When Gen Prayuth Chan- o dah was still in power, the two leaders, Lao Prime Minister Phankham Viphavanh, agreed in June last year to form a proper relationship that would cover a range of topics, including infrastructure development.  ,
