Taiwan seniors test e-skills in League of Legends

TAIPEI, Taiwan: A year ago, 65-year-old Chiang Yi-shu knew nothing about computers. Now, she is a Little league of Legends player who has just fought in her first-ever e-sports tournament.

Chiang is one of the players on Hungkuang Evergreen Gaming’s group, established this summer. The team, whose users range from 62 in order to 69 years old, opened by Huang Jianji, the director of the department of multimedia game development plus application of Hungkuang University.

“Frankly speaking, I knew hardly any about computers. I never thought of studying it, because I favor interactions with people, inch Chiang said. “But when I started to enjoy, I figured out it turned out good for the brain. And especially the use of hands, you must have dexterity. ”

Chiang has been practicing at home and at the university when she gets time. She plays about five hrs every week, according to her coach, Ego Hsu. Though she lives in New Taipei Town, she traveled towards the university in Taichung, an hour away simply by high speed rail, for that training class each week in preparation for that competition on Saturday (Dec 17).
