Several of Sweeney’s castmates on both “Euphoria” plus “The White Lotus” were nominated, too, including 2020 best theatre actress winner Zendaya plus Sweeney’s onscreen mothers and fathers in the latter collection, Connie Britton and Steve Zahn. Both series were nominated for the top honours in their categories — best drama collection and best restricted series.
Sweeney, a new Emmy nominee this year, joins an even more exclusive golf club of actors nominated for two different functions in the same season. Other actors with accomplished the feat include Elisabeth Moss and Ted Danson, according to awards conjecture site Gold Derby .
