” THEIR LIVES MATTER”

Authorities had told citizens to leave outside a 7km isolation area around the volcano, which was lowered to 5km on Sunday, with about 11, 000 persons earmarked for removal.

As of Saturday, more than 5, 000 people from Tagulandang had been evacuated, the regional hazard reduction agency said Sunday, while all of Ruang’s residents- more than 800- had been taken for continuous relocation.

Authorities had warned about possible floods, volcano flows, and flying rocks from dirt entering the sea.

But despite the risk, the participants were getting to work.

One climbed over the gate of a deserted house to rescue some deserted dogs before turning them in to veterinarian Hendrikus Hermawan.

Hendrikus claimed that the landlord had requested assistance from the participants in rescuing the canines, which included a five-month-old dog.

He told AFP that many of the rescued species left them feeling stressed and starving.

He said,” We give the animals more vitamins and food to reduce their stress,” adding that they could live as long as they were fed.

The participants want to take all the affected dogs, cats, and animals to Manado and bring them back to their original owners, according to Laurent.

The charity said that animals should not be forgotten despite the initial concern for the human impact.

” Our primary focus is the species. Some people have now received help, but these creatures had no enable”, she said.

” For me, their lives problem. We consider them part of our family”.
