On Friday, Prime Minister Srettha Thavisin may pay a visit to flood survivors in Ubon Ratchathani, Yasothon, and Roi Et, where support measures are being developed and the extent of the damage is still being assessed.

According to government official Chai Wacharonke, the ongoing storms have caused storms that flooded at least 1,600 villages in 28 regions from September 26 until yesterday.

Suriya Jungrungreangkit, the assistant secretary of transportation and partnerships, Chaiya Promma, and Deputy Interior Minister Kriang Kantinan are accompanying the prime minister on his journey.

Mr. Srettha will visit the hydro-gauging station( M7 ) at Seri Democracy Bridge in the Muang district of Ubon Ratchathani after attending the follow-up meeting on the flood situation at the Regional Irrigation Office 7 today.

Before continuing on to the Phibun Mangsahan area, Mr. Chai stated that Mr Srettha may also join flood victims and give them important items.

35 settlements in the Muang and Warin Chamrap towns of Ubon Ratchathani have been impacted by storms.

At 10.30 a.m. on Saturday, the excellent minister and other officials will visit Ban Sai Ngam community in tambon Kud Kung in Yasothon’s Kham Khuean Kaeo area. Before departing for Bangkok at 2 p.m., they are also expected to stop by the pharmaceutical rehab facility at Hua Ton Police Station in the Suwannaphum neighborhood of Roi Et.

Water retained in reservoirs and elsewhere in Ubon Ratchathani was at 89 % of total power, making some areas susceptible to flooding.

The storage was estimated to be 65 % in Yasothon and 37 % in Roi Et.

The Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation reported that inundation has affected 13, 200 homes in the regions of Tak, Kalasin, Ubon Ratchathani, and Trat.

In Kalasin, 322 villages across 10 towns, including Khong Chai, Huai Mek, and Kamalazali, are submerged. In the middle part of the country, heavy rains are anticipated until tomorrow.
