In Mae Taeng area on Saturday morning, a drug trafficker was detained and more than 14 million rate tablets were seized.

About one-third of the way through the Chiang Dao region of this northern frontier state, soldiers from a reduction device and authorities were stationed at the Kaeng Pantao road checkpoint. According to Gen Narit Thavornwong, captain of the drug suppression system, a drug gang plans to use this way for smuggling illicit medicines into interior areas at 30am on Saturday.

The medicine suppression system, along with members of the Ha Muang work power, intercepted three suspected vehicles at Pang Kwang community in Mae Taeng despite the drug gang’s attempt to avoid detection by using an alternative route, according to Gen Narit.

One medication criminal was arrested, and a full of 73 compost baskets, each containing 200,000 rate medications, or 14. 6 million tablets in full, were seized from the cars.  

Earlier, authorities had now seized 6 million cocaine pills in Wiang Haeng city of Chiang  Before the Songkran vacation, the districts of nearby Lamphun province’s Mai and Mae Tha area.
