Singapore’s Temasek in talks to invest in OpenAI, FT reports

As OpenAI’s ChatGPT gained notoriety and businesses rushed to build AI systems, one out of every three cash invested in American companies last year attracted one out of every three.

In response to the release of OpenAI’s ChatGPT in late 2022, attention was drawn to generating AI systems, leading to billion in investments in chips and machines needed to support the implementation of such programs.

Khosla Ventures, Thrive Capital, Andreessen Horowitz, and Sequoia Capital are some of the owners that OpenAI’s owners, excluding Microsoft, which is its largest shareholder.

According to people with expertise of the package, the New York Times reported last month that OpenAI had closed a deal to offer existing shares in a delicate give that valued the artificial intelligence firm at US$ 80 billion or more.

Temasek is active investor in the tech sector, with a portfolio worth S$ 382 billion ( US$ 284.21 billion ) as of March 31. Roblox, Tencent, and Alibaba are just a few examples of the businesses in the resume.
