Singapore’s President Halimah to attend King Charles’ coronation in London

SINGAPORE: On Saturday, May 6, President Halimah Yacob may be present at the crown of King Charles of Great Britain.

According to a press release released on Wednesday by Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs( MFA ), she will visit London from May 4 to May 7 at the invitation of the UK government. & nbsp,

Heads of state, strange officials, royalty, and religious leaders are expected to attend the coronation at Westminster Abbey, along with more than 2,200 other persons.

The community leaders who will attend include Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, Flemish President Emmanuel Macron, and Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. For the coronation, Japan’s Crown Prince Fumihito and Crown Princess Kiko may also travel to Britain for the first time. & nbsp,

According to MFA, Madam Halimah may meet with Presidents Ratu Wiliame Katonivere of Fiji and Vietnam Vo Van Thuong separately in London.

She will also go to a receipt for Singaporeans living abroad who are based in the UK. & nbsp,

Along with representatives from the President’s Office and MFA, Mdm Halimah may be accompanied by her man.

The Council of Presidential Advisers’ chair, Mr. Eddie Teo, may carry out the duties of the President’s Office while she is away.
