iQiyi subscribers, do n’t be shocked if you see a familiar face on the streaming platform. Shigga Shay, a Singaporean hip-hop artist, has joined the most recent period of the popular Chinese reality series The Rap of China, which airs on iQiyi.
A group of rappers compete in The Rap of China each year until the winner is chosen.
Shigga Shay made an appearance in the first season of The Rap of China’s debut season, which aired on May 4. Shigga Shay can be seen impressing courts in the event with his potent song, which consists of a combination of Mandarin and English. He proclaims at the end, to great applause:” The Rap Of China, this is more than a sport. Shigga Shay is in the tower, remember the name”.
The courts praised his music and reading, and awarded him with a golden chain , – putting him to the next round of the contest.
This is not Shigga Shay’s second appearance in the company. He performed the song Bo Beh Zao ( Hokkien for incomparable ) with Taiwanese rapper E. so. on the show as a guest performer in 2023.
Shigga Shay stated in an interview that he hopes to compete in the contest this time during an interview section.
