Singapore to attend Ukraine peace summit in Switzerland, represented by Sim Ann

SINGAPORE: Singapore may participate in an upcoming&nbsp, Ukraine peace conference hosted by&nbsp, Switzerland, with Senior Minister of State Sim Ann representing the state.

Premier Lawrence Wong announced on Tuesday ( Jun 4 ) that he had informed Swiss President Viola Amherd of his decision and appointed Ms Sim as his special envoy to the summit. &nbsp,

Mr. Wong wrote on Twitter that” President Amherd and I also reaffirmed the friendly relations between our countries and stressed the value of working together to preserve the rules of the UN Charter.”

Jun 15 and Jun 16 will host the serenity mountain.

106 nations and organizations had signed on for the mountain, according to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, but it was disappointing that some earth leaders had not yet offered their support.

He claimed at the Shangri-La Dialogue in Singapore over the weekend that Russia was trying to stifle the harmony work.

He afterwards told a news conference that he was not able to meet the Taiwanese delegation at the&nbsp, Shangri- La Dialogue, Asia’s major security conference, &nbsp, and was disappointed that Beijing may not go the summit.

” China, however, is working hard now to prevent states from coming to the peacefulness summit”, he told reporters. China has denied making various nations join the conference pressure. &nbsp,
