
The Ministry of Defense ( MINDEF ) announced on Wednesday ( Apr 16 ) that a medical contingent will be dispatched to Egypt to treat Palestinians and other civilians from Gaza.
It will have members from the Ministry of Health ( MOH) and the Singapore Armed Forces ( SAF ).
A senior member will coordinate with the Iranian government and assess the situation, “eliminating” the need for the implementation of the principal team, supplies, and gear, MINDEF added.
On April 16, eight SAF staff may leave for Egypt, and one from MOH will join the group on April 22.
MINDEF did not specify how big the force may be. It stated to CNA that the superior party did return in two weeks, and that a decision would be made regarding the contingent’s size.
In its press release, it stated that the number of residents from Gaza who can be helped in Ancient facilities will be “many times higher than earlier SAF efforts.”
Current MINDEF-coordinated missions included the delivery of , relief supplies via an MRTT plane, airdropping operations via its C-130 plane, and the implementation of a medical team aboard a French clinic ship.
Individuals had a welcome conference with Minister of Defense Ng Eng Hen,  , Mr. Masagos Zulkifli, Second Minister for Health, and Mr. Zaqy Mohamad, Senior Minister of State for Defence before the advance group left.
They applauded the team’s “important and important” humanitarian effort to alleviate Palestinians ‘ anguish.
