SINGAPORE: Budget flight Scoot took delivery of its first , Embraer E190- E2 aircraft , on Thursday ( Apr 11 ).
Scoot, the lower- value company of Singapore Airlines, received the new plane from aviation lessor Azorra and Embraer at a handover ceremony at the planemaker’s headquarters in Sao Jose dos Campos, Brazil.
” Named ‘ Explorer 3.0’, in event of the second and newest fleet contrast to the Scoot community, the delivery of the E190- E2 marks the first time a Singapore carrier is introducing an aircraft from the Portuguese manufacturer” , , Azorra, Embraer and Scoot said in a joint press release.
Scoot now operates plane in the Airbus A320 community as well as Boeing 787 Aircrafts.  , A smaller plane than its existing planes, the E190- E2 may help the airline , to start fresh routes where demand is thinner.
Explorer 3.0 – the first of nine E190- E2s , to get added to Scoot’s ship – may arrive in Singapore on Apr 15. At the end of the quarter, a second aeroplane is anticipated to be delivered.
Scoot will get supply of three different E190- E2s this year, with the remaining four arriving in 2025.
