Short thundery showers expected over parts of Singapore in first half of August

SINGAPORE: Short thundery showers are required over some areas of Singapore in the initial half of August, said the Meteorological Provider Singapore on Monday (Aug 1).  

In its fortnightly outlook,   the Met Assistance said the thundery showers may occur   between your morning and earlier afternoon on most days.  

Large-scale convergence associated with winds over Singapore and the surrounding region may cause widespread reasonable to heavy thundery showers on one or even two days.

“In addition, Sumatra squalls from the Strait associated with Malacca may provide widespread thundery showers with occasional gusty winds in the pre-dawn and morning on a few days, ” mentioned the Met Assistance.
