Shanmugam not making police report against sisters who disrupted MPS

K Shanmugam, the minister for law and home affairs, announced on Thursday ( Mar 27 ) that he would not be filing a police report regarding the actions of two sisters who snuck into his Meet-the-People ( MPS) session.

He likewise urged people to move on from the incident during a door-to-door discussion while making a short visit to the Northview Secondary School’s temporary meditation area.

Two weeks prior, the two ladies had confronted Mr. Shanmugam at an MPS outside the Chong Pang tree business. The secretary then shared a seven-minute videos of their conversation on his Facebook page on March 13. &nbsp,

The daughters had gotten in touch with Mr. Shanmugam to inquire about the POFMA, or Protection from Online Falsehoods. They yelled” fool” at the minister after he attempted to end the conversation with them, but the exchange turned into a confrontation.

When asked about the videos on Thursday, Mr. Shanmugam stated that the incident might be a legal crime, but he would not pursue legal action against the sisters.

” I’m not filing a police document, and I haven’t filed a police record.” According to what I understand, the two daughters are also being looked into for additional crimes, he said.

They have recently been the subject of studies, and those investigations are ongoing. However, I have no intention of filing any officers reports regarding what transpired at my MPS in Chong Pang.

When asked for more information about the crimes against which the daughters were being investigated, Mr. Shanmugam stated that he was conscious of the charges against them for some crimes that occurred prior to the incident at his MPS.

The rules has got to take its course, he said,” but it has nothing to do with what happened at MPS… what they have done abroad.”

CNA has emailed inquiries to the authorities regarding the alleged crimes committed by the two women in the picture. &nbsp,
