A regionally diversified provider and enabler of information-communications products and services, SGX mainboard-listed TeleChoice International Ltd, has announced that it has successfully acquired a Fourth Party Logistics ( 4PL) managed services contract from one of Malaysia’s largest telcos, U Mobile Sdn Bhd, through its wholly-owned subsidiary, Planet Telecoms Managed Services ( PTMS ).
Over the course of three years, the contract, estimated to cost S$ 500 million ( US$ 372.3 million ), involves the delivery of 4PL managed providers, offering a full range of supply chain management solutions. The function of PTMS is as follows:
- System Procurement: In order to meet market demand, PTMS may serve as a buying house and maintain the purchasing and stock of new devices.
- PTMS may manage device warehouse, logistics, and distribution, including last mile delivery, to ensure prompt delivery throughout Malaysia.
- Real-time supply systems will be implemented by PTMS to enable U Mobile to rapidly address market demands.
- Customer Experience: PTMS may use their expertise to give customers a steady and seamless experience, from online ordering to in-store pickups, as they take on complete management of U Mobile’s considerable distribution network, which spans over 600 wholesale and channel touchpoints throughout Malaysia.
