Seven provinces flagged for summer storms, gusting winds

Rain and warm weather is anticipated for Songkran.

Heavy rains and gusty winds are expected to fall on Monday and into Tuesday in seven provinces in the main, northeast, and northern regions.

The Meteorological Department said on Monday that the seven counties are:

  • Chaiyaphum
  • Loei
  • Lop Buri
  • Nakhon Ratchasima
  • Phetchabun
  • Phitsanulok
  • Saraburi

Additionally, the organization advised people in the middle region of the nation to prevent going outside during winds and traveling there.

In Bangkok, it was reported weather to be falling in 12 districts on Monday, but it was expected to relieve over the course of the month.

Somkhuan Tonchan, the lieutenant spokesman, reported to TNN on Sunday that some parts of the nation might experience warm weather and summer storms during the Songkran holiday next week.

Saturday through Wednesday is the holiday’s traditional New Year’s Eve vacation.

According to the office, the temperature in the Lop Buri district of Chai Badan on Sunday reached 40.8°C, followed by 40.3°C in the Phetchabun and 39.3°C in the Muang region in Nakhon Sawan.
