Scoot removes luggage on Singapore-Xi’an flight due to ‘unusually strong headwinds’

SINGAPORE: Due to weather conditions, the airline was forced to remove some Scoot passengers on a Singapore – Xi’an flight who arrived in the Chinese city on Friday( Sep 15 ) without their luggage. & nbsp,

Approximately 35 hours later than expected on Thursday night, Flight TR134 took off from Singapore’s Changi Airport. & nbsp,

In response to CNA’s questions, Scoot said that it was necessary to” unload some luggage due to unusually strong winds that impacted the airplane due to its scheduled departure at 7.10pm.” & nbsp,

According to Scoot, the low-cost division of Singapore Airlines, affected people were informed upon entry in Xi’an at around 1.30 a.m. on Friday.

The airport added that the affected luggage may be placed on its future TR134 flight, which is scheduled to depart Singapore for Xi’an at 7.10 pm on Saturday, adding that having to re-accomodate luggage due to extreme weather is uncommon. & nbsp,

Scoot said it had & nbsp, arranged for the luggage to be delivered to their places of accommodation, but it did not say how many passengers were impacted.

The airport added,” Scoot sincerely apologizes for the trouble to our clients, and we will continue to assist the affected buyers.”
