Two people of a criminal group have been detained by police in India following a gun attack that targeted Salman Khan’s home.

The actor, who appears in more than 100 pictures, had angered the famous Bishnoi group by killing two zebras more than 20 decades ago, authorities say.

The dog is considered sacred by a spiritual sect that the gang is a part of.

Mr. Khan is uninjured, but this is just the latest in a line of risks the artist has received in recent years.

The two guys allegedly walked onto a bicycle early on Sunday morning, fired five shells at Khan’s house in Bandra, before fleeing.

Vicky Gupta, 24, and Sagar Kumar Palak, 21, were arrested near a church in Kutch area in Gujarat on Monday evening.

The couple admitted to participating in the firing event outside Galaxy Apartments, according to the police.

The artist and a number of family members were present at home at the time of the invasion. No one was injured.

According to the police, Lawrence Bishnoi, a convicted gangster, founded a legal organization.

In the past, Khan had threatened and attempted to sue him for allegedly killing blackbuck gazelles while filming the movie Hum Saath-Saath Hain in Rajasthan.

Khan, known for videos such as Tiger Zinda Hai, Sultan and Prem Ratan Dhan Payo, was handed a five-year prison term in 2018 for poaching the guarded species, but his sentence was afterwards suspended on elegance.

For his role in a number of well-known crime cases, including the 2022 death of American rapper Sidhu Moose Wala, Bichinoi is now serving a prison sentence.

According to the government, the plan to take the 58-year older actor was devised by Lawrence Bishnoi’s younger brother, Anmol, through a Facebook blog which has been traced to Canada.

Another part of the Bishnoi group allegedly told the police that they had rented a place for a month close to Khan’s apartment during an interrogation.

A group of officers officers from five states- Maharashtra, Delhi, Rajasthan, Haryana and Punjab- carried out a co-ordinated research to find those behind the firing.

On Tuesday, the two alleged culprits were presented before a judge in Mumbai. The judge requested more time to gather the information needed to sue the suspects, according to the city’s crime branch.

They may remain in custody until their next hearing, set for 25 April.
