Following discussions on the outside of a website that Shoigu attended in Beijing on October 30, it was the next time the two men had spoken in the previous 10 days.

Less than three weeks prior to Russia sending troops into Ukraine last year, Presidents Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinping declared a” little limits” relationship. China has not yet criticized Moscow’s deeds in Ukraine. Beijing has been forewarned by the US not to provide Russia with arms.
