The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration ( BMA ), the Ministry of Public Health, and the Royal Thai Air Force have joined forces to improve access to health care in northern Bangkok.

In a three-year agreement, the organizations will work together to provide full-scale health care to air pressure staff and their households, employees at another government agencies, and residents of northern Bangkok, including Don Muang area and surrounding areas.

According to the memorandum of agreement signed lately, access to health services, individual referral processes, and the quality of local hospitals and medical personnel are all improving.

Individuals at the signing ceremony, which was presided over by Thanakrit Jitareerat, vice-minister for public health, said the deal is anticipated to spur future collaborations.

The air pressure commander in chief, ACM Punpakdee Pattanakul, stated that the RTAF was pleased to assist changes to hospitals and healthcare in Don Muang and adjacent areas.

North Bangkok is one of seven medical zones under the BMA’s system, according to lieutenant governor Tavida Kamolvej.

The deal will serve as a launching pad for improvements to health care in different regions, she said, reducing social inequality by ensuring that everyone has equal access to health care.

The north Bangkok health area comprises medical facilities in Don Muang, Sai Mai, Lak Si, Bang Khen, Chatuchak, Lat Phrao and Wang Thonglang towns.
