SINGAPORE: Singapore’s Prime Minister Lawrence Wong met Chinese President Xi Jinping on Friday ( Nov 15 ) on the sidelines of the , Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation ( APEC ) Summit in Lima, Peru.
In a Facebook post, Mr Wong said both nations share a” shut and varied relationship” that was upgraded to an All-Round High-Quality Future-Oriented Partnership last year.
“Economic relations are strong. China is Singapore’s largest investing partner in items, Singapore is China’s largest international investor”, he added.
I look forward to working with President Xi to further enhance our assistance and taking our ties to greater heights as we mark our 35th anniversary of diplomatic relations next month.
Mr. Wong may attend the APEC Economic Leaders Summit in Peru from November 14 through November 16 and therefore go to Brazil’s Rio de Janeiro to attend the G20 Summit.
Peru is the number business of APEC this time, while Brazil holds the G20 president.
