PM Anwar ‘very confident’ he will serve full term amid rumours of plot to topple Malaysia government

Local television has previously reported that there is a widespread plot to overthrow the government.

On April 24, The Vibes reported that Barisan Nasional ( BN ) MPs who did not support Mr. Anwar were planning to have by-elections held to remove him from his position.

The report claimed that many BN MPs were being pressured into giving up their seats and leaving their occasions. The opposition Perikatan Nasional ( PN ) banner would then reportedly be used by the MPs to run for re-election.

Mr. Anwar stated earlier on Monday that the events in his integrity authorities are powerful enough to fend off any attempt to overthrow the public.

Bernama cited Mr. Anwar as saying,” As much as we can see, the position( of the government ) is extremely strong.”

Sultan Ibrahim Ibni Almarhum Sultan Iskandar, the ruler of Johor, expressed concern over the recent” constant reports regarding the stability of the current( Malaysian ) government” on Wednesday.

” To restore political stability to the nation, the rakyat( citizens ) placed high hopes in the most recent general election and voted for 222 representatives.”

Sultan Ibrahim wrote in a Facebook post,” But as of right now, the 222 MPs are unable to agree with efforts to undermine the carefully constructed stability.

After the 15th General Election failed to produce a sharp champion, Mr. Anwar was sworn in as prime minister on November 24 of last year.
