SINGAPORE: Operations at Peach Garden ‘s&nbsp, Thomson Plaza tree have been suspended after more than 40 people fell sick with&nbsp, diarrhea symptoms. &nbsp,

” Two were hospitalised and are in stable condition”, said the&nbsp, Singapore Food Agency ( SFA ) and the Ministry of Health ( MOH) in a media release on Wednesday ( Apr 24 ).

The government added that they are investigating&nbsp, eight incidents of diarrhea affecting 43 people who consumed meals prepared by the Taiwanese restaurant&nbsp, between Apr 17 and 18.

SFA has ended functions at the Thomson Plaza exit from April 22 until further notice in light of the” suspected continued transmission.”

” The owner is required to clear and sanitise the premises, including equipment and utensils, and rid of all prepared- to- consume food and fragile food items”, said SFA and MOH.

Before they can continue work at the Thomson Plaza outlet, all foods managers must re-attend and pass the Food Safety Course Level 1 and have their blood tested negative for related diseases.

Before resuming his or her position, the appointed foods health official at the cafe had re-attend and pass the Level 3 Food Safety Course.

Peach Garden, a famous restaurant chain, operates six stores in Singapore, comprising great dining and casual dining ideas.

The SFA urged food producers to always follow good food and personal health guidelines, the agency said.

” SFA did not dare to vigorously pursue any charges against anyone found to be in breach of the Environmental Public Health Act.”

When CNA went to Peach Garden at Thomson Plaza on Thursday at 11 a.m., the cafe was half shut down, and employees were seen removing dinnerware from the inside.

When approached, they declined reply. One employee at the front desk claimed that the restaurant’s manager had ordered that the restaurant would n’t be hiring employees until the SFA’s investigations are finished.
