Parts of Telok Blangah Hill Park trails closed for repairs until 2026 following slope failure

Over the next two decades, some portions of the tracks at Telok Blangah Hill Park will be closed to the public as a result of repairs.

This was caused by heavy and continuous rain on Feb 28, 2023, which  resulted in a hill disappointment at the park’s elevated Forest Walk, said the  National Parks Board ( NParks ) in response to CNA’s queries on Monday ( Apr 22 ).

NParks initially halted the Forest Walk on March 1, 2023 after being informed that the hill at the location had failed before that day.

The agency announced that it has closed the northeast section of the Forest Walk and the Earth Trail for restoration works until the end of July 2026 in order to protect public safety and accomplish the works there.

The works are required to stabilize the raised walkway’s foundation and stabilize the slope. After the hill stabilization works are finished, we will plant appropriate vegetation cover, according to NParks.
