Pakistan records ‘wettest April’ in more than 60 years: Weather agency

Pakistan is extremely prone to unexpected weather and frequently dangerous monsoon rains, which typically occur in July.

Extraordinary monsoon floods in Pakistan in the summer of 2022 caused millions of people’s displacement and caused US$ 30 billion in injury and financial loss, according to a World Bank measure.

While making comments on the report, Zaheer Ahmad Babar, a spokesperson for the Pakistan Meteorological Department, said,” Climate shift is a major factor that is influencing the chaotic weather patterns in our place.”

While much of Asia is sweltering due to heat tides, Pakistan’s national regular heat for April was 23.67 degrees Celsius, 0.87 levels lower than the average of 24.54 degrees Fahrenheit, the review noted.
