GE2025: Marymount SMC sees straight fight between PAP’s Gan Siow Huang and PSP’s Jeffrey Khoo

It was confirmed that PAP’s Gan Siow Huang and PSP’s Jeffrey Khoo will contest the single-seat ward after nomination papers were submitted to Methodist Girls ‘ School on Wednesday ( Apr 23 ).
The Minister of State for Education and Manpower is Ms. Gan, 50.  ,
She rose to prominence in the Singapore Armed Forces in 1993 as the country’s first female Brigadier-General, making record in 2015 as the country’s first female officer. She enlisted in the military in 1993 and became a pioneer in the field.
Mr. Khoo, 56, is the CEO of a local risk consulting company and has spent the last 15 years leading the National University of Singapore Society in different capacities.
In the previous election, which saw the PAP largely win the district with 51.69 per share of the ballot, he was recently fielded as part of PSP’s West Coast GRC group.
Ms. Gan stated to supporters after receiving her election that she is “deeply touched” by the community’s support for her as MP in the 2020 election.
