Orpheus Pledger: Australian police launch manhunt for Home and Away star

After a warrant was issued for his imprisonment on Wednesday, American police are looking for Home and Away celebrity Orpheus Pledger.

According to authorities, the artist is facing four counts of allegedly assaulting a person.

He had been released on bail on Monday for a medical evaluation that was ordered by the court.

Mr. Pledger failed to appear in court on Tuesday, which sparked both a media frenzy and a hunt.

Victoria Police have launched a public appeal for help, describing him as “approximately 170cm]5ft 7in ] tall with brown hair and tanned complexion” in a public notice.

They added that he is known to frequent the suburb of Northcote in inner-city Melbourne and [its ] surrounding regions” and that a current picture of Mr. Pledger was included “in the trust people may be able to provide information on his locations.”

Mr Pledger’s boss, Craig McMahon, told the Sydney Morning Herald newspaper he had not been in touch with his customer this year but that he had been shocked by the abuse allegations.

He added that Mr. Pledger had been dealing with mental health problems.

The 30-year-old joined the Home and Away cast in 2016 and spent three years portraying the imaginary figure Mason Morgan.

Prior to that, he appeared on the favorite soap opera Mates, as well as TV displays Silversun and CrashBurn.

On May 10, his next court appearance is scheduled.
