Phusit Ratanakul Sereroengrit, director-general of the Department of International Trade Promotion ( DITP ), stated yesterday that the 68th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair’s results exceeded expectations with nearly 40, 000 visitors from 117 countries.
According to him, the number of visitors was a 44 % increase over the previous model.
India, Myanmar, China, Sri Lanka, the United States, Japan, Pakistan, Vietnam, Russia, and Australia were among the top 10 nations to participate in the fair at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center( QSNCC ) from September 6 to 10, according to Mr. Phusit.
The estimated deal worth exceeded the set target by 3.3 billion ringgit over the course of the event, he claimed.
Additionally, the event drew interest from the world jewelry industry, with more than 2,400 booths operating from 21 countries and over 1,100 leading exhibitors from both Thailand and worldwide, according to him.
The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand( GIT)’ s director, Sumed Prasongpongchai, expressed his gratitude for organizing the occasion yesterday, stating that” the success of this occurrence is the result of collaboration between the DITP and GIT, as well as powerful assistance from allied organizations both domestically and internationally.”
