During the closures, connection will only be naturally to authorised vehicles, police vehicles and even emergency vehicles. Auxiliary police officers and Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) marshals will be deployed on the affected junctions to assist and direct road users.
Visitors delays are expected along Raffles Avenue, Temasek Avenue, Bayfront Ave, Marina Boulevard, Raffles Boulevard, Republic Boulevard and Republic Path, said SPF.
Motorists may also facial area delays on Nicoll Highway, Robinson Avenue, Cecil Street, Collyer Quay, Bras Basah Road, Beach Way and Ophir Street.
“Motorists are to plan their paths early and avoid these kinds of roads. Members of the public visiting these affected aspects are strongly prompted to use public transportation, ” said SPF.
“Similarly, motorists proceeding to help Suntec City together with Marina Square coming from Raffles Avenue, Raffles Boulevard, and Bayfront Avenue are advised to employ alternate routes through Nicoll Highway or maybe Rochor Road bringing about Temasek Boulevard. inch
Parking limits along the affected tracks will be “strictly enforced”, and vehicles automobile illegally or resulting in an obstruction will likely be towed, said the police.
After the parade is over, large crowds are expected in the Marinara Bay area. Esplanade, Promenade and Bayfront MRT stations are expected to be “very crowded”, and commuters are encouraged to use City Lounge, Raffles Place together with Marina Bay MRT stations instead, reported the police.
