The particular agency will also sanction a further 12 subordinated laws of the Cybersecurity Act by the end of the year so as to enhance the country’s cybersecurity ecosystem, on top of the existing 29 laws which have already been implemented, this individual said.

AVM Amorn declared that the NCSA hooks its hopes that positive enforcement is the best approach for good assistance from related agencies to improve cybersecurity pertaining to Thailand.

Yesterday, the NCSA held the 2022 Prime Minister Award–Thailand Cybersecurity Excellence Prize ceremony for associated CII agencies plus general organisations along with 34 organisations acknowledging awards and certificates.

Huawei Technologies Thailand had been one of five businesses that accepted the Cybersecurity Excellence Prize (Supporting) at the event.

Abel Deng, Huawei Technologies Thailand CEO, said the award demonstrates the company’s commitment in order to excellence, innovation, plus leadership in info security.

In the past 12 months, Huawei Technologies Thailand joined up with a series of cybersecurity-related initiatives such as the “Thailand Nationwide Cyber Week” and the “Cyber Defense Effort Conference”.

It also collaborated with all the NCSA for the “Thailand Cyber Top Talents”, the first cyber-defence competition of its kind within Thailand that attracted 300 IT students to participate.

To reinforce Thailand’s cybersecurity skills, Huawei sent a Thai team to the “Cyber SEA Game 2021” which attracted groups from across the Asean region, he said.

The Thai team bagged the first prize plus was named the best cybersecurity team within Asean.
