Narrow loss denies Singapore’s Noah Lim Asian Games ju-jitsu bronze

HANGZHOU: On Thursday, October 5, Singaporean ju-jitsu warrior Noah Lim narrowly missed taking home an Asian Games prize.

First came a loss to South Korea’s Joo Seonghyeon by one advantage point in the quarterfinals of the under-69kg competition, and later that day, Aldiyar Serik of Kazakhstan narrowly lost the bronze medal match to & nbsp.

Prior to the match with the South Korean, Lim won both of his games. He then won his repechage match to claw his way to a chance at copper.

Lim, who was making his Games album, said,” I lost quite just in both complements to quite challenging competitors.”

” I am aware that I had a good chance of winning the games, but due to time constraints, I was unable to take advantage of my possibilities.”

The Singaporean, a second-year scholar at Nanyang Technological University’s Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine, had hoped to strike it rich at the Xiaoshan Linpu Gymnasium.

He added,” There are areas for improvement and there are things to work on.”

Lim admitted that he was experiencing some negative results from a new asthma attack.

” I had the flu two weeks prior, and then all of a sudden I developed bronchitis.” I’m a little out of breath right then. It’s not an excuse, he said, but it made it much harder because I wasn’t actually able to train also.

” I still feel like I didn’t perform well in any of my games today. I wasn’t my ordinary home even after I won.

Lim took home Singapore’s second gold medal from the 32nd SEA Games earlier this year. He has won three SEA Games metal medals, most recently in 2019 and 2022.
